Real bread.
Real ingredients.
Real care.
Every loaf, pastry, and pantry staple at Barrel and Bloom is crafted from scratch — no shortcuts, no compromises — just honest food made the way it should be.
Born from a family table,
built for a community.
Barrel and Bloom started the way most good things do — around a kitchen counter, with flour on the sleeves and a conviction that food tastes better when you know who made it and why.
What began as weekend baking for neighbors and friends grew into something steadier: a hearth in New Kensington where sourdough ferments slowly, butter is never substituted, and every recipe carries the weight of someone who actually cares about the result. We are not a chain. We are not faceless. We are the Clark family, and this is our corner of the world.

to your table
Artisan Breads
Sourdough, country loaves, seeded ryes, and seasonal specialties — each baked on-site with naturally leavened dough and stone-milled flours. Nothing rushed. Nothing artificial.
Fresh Pastries
Buttery croissants, flaky danishes, fruit tarts, and daily specials — all made from scratch each morning. Our pastry case is never the same twice, and that is exactly how we like it.
Pantry & Grocery
A thoughtfully selected collection of local honey, small-batch preserves, artisan oils, and pantry essentials — items we would keep in our own kitchen.
Slow methods.
Honest results.
No Shortcuts
We do not use commercial accelerants or preservatives. Our dough ferments for 24 to 48 hours because flavor cannot be rushed — and we would rather wait than cut corners.
Locally Rooted
We source from farmers and producers in this region whenever possible. When you buy from us, money stays local — and you know exactly where your food came from.
Made with Intention
Every recipe is a decision. We choose real butter over margarine, whole grains over refined flour, and time over convenience — because the people who eat our food deserve better.
